SEPTEMBER 16, 2023 // BOB THAYER HOUSE SHOW
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Sometimes having a party is a good use of time and energy. I’ve had too many parties, probably, where it was just me and a bunch of ghosts. It is also good to commune with the living. Sometimes I go through long phases where I don’t have a party at all and just do training in order to get proper revenge, but don’t worry, it’s not really as sinister as it sounds. It basically just means quietly gardening and not being like Chris Farley in order to cope with the ways in which this happenstance confluence of matter and spirit are incongruous with society.

I used to have parties. I haven’t for a long time. Bob Thayer and Assateague played music at this one, and Jen Kullbeck read poetry. It was a pleasant evening and everyone acted nice and normal.
