SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
I was trying to be a professional musician by making recordings at my home and mailing them to my friends and family because I thought that what I was doing was important.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA I took this photo at a protest of the Iraq war. Also this photograph, despite being yellowed and faded by spending several years on my bedroom wall before being scanned, shows world class photography skills. I don’t deserve any credit for this because like reggae singers and football players, I give God the credit for my skills, and the instrument of my voice.

YOUNG MAN STANDS IN A NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ENCAMPMENT // PENTAX IQZOOM 90MC ISO 400
A photographer documents an encampment at a music festival. One can imagine what the Old West was like. There are redwood trees on a ridge and speakeasies that aren’t easy to see.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Dan and Jaime drove up from Los Angeles with Dan's girlfriend Samantha to spend a few days helping on a movie set. The weather was sunny. We had fun.
JALISCO + MICHOACÁN, MEXICO
Dan and I met in Manzanillo and hitchhiked in the back of a chicken truck down to this surf spot. I'd missed my flight due to the airline stealing my wallet and arrived three hours late. By sheer coincidence or the Lord or whatever my taxi driver took me to the precise hotel where Dan had chosen to stay. He was on the balcony when I arrived. It was very hot weather during the middle of the day. We got good waves most of the time. A french man called my courage into attention when I told him I'd just seen a shark swim beneath us. He said there are lots of fish to eat, why do you think yourself to be so important?
